Today I"m posting a link to my parent's dining room. They have decided to remodel their home to prepare for my dad to come home from rehab. He has had a total of 7 surgeries all a result of arthritis. Today we are preparing to bring him home from rehab after he completely collapsed after weeks of pain and deterioration in his ability to walk due to 5th degenerative disk in his back. He had an emergency spinal fusion. The neurosurgeon explained that his spinal column, that is supposed to be about the with of a sausage, was in my dad's back the size of two pieces of paper. He is anxious to return home with my mother and is finding that recovery isn't going as quickly as we had all hoped. We are still hopeful that he will get total use of his legs but it will be a journey for him. My mom has been very proactive about doing what she can to get him home again. She has decided to remodel and make a master on the main with all the necessary special needs that my dad will require during his recovery. They are going to add a bathroom and a bedroom where the living room used to be and move the living area to the dining room.
